Hello Angel Friends,
In June of 2003 I took my daughter Jenny to Peru on a Humanitarian Expedition. We had a wonderful time serving the beautiful people of that country. Conditions were humble, supplies were limited and our eyes were opened to the blessed land we live in. We returned from the trip a few days ahead of schedule so we could attend an angel dedication in Spicer, MN. As we drove from the airport to Spicer we were overwhelmed by the beauty of America. There were corn and wheat fields, thriving farm lands and modern conveniences. At the park where the angel was dedicated there was a row of American flags. The sight of those flags brought a great deal of emotion and gratitude to my soul. Since that time I have a new appreciation for what it means to me to be an American. That trip was the beginning of so many blessings for me and our angel mission.
As we look forward to spring, and getting our angel gardens in order, I hope we can all remember to be grateful for where we live, the privileges we enjoy, and the men and women who fight to keep us free.
With Love, Lisa
